We’ve made it to the end of January! Well done to everyone for keeping motivated; we’ve been blown away again this week by the effort everyone is putting into their work at home (and at school). Here are some of the things we have been doing this week…
This week the children were challenged with a Jedi workout followed by a relaxing Yoga session to improve their flexibility and strength. There were some lovely examples of work submitted. Please see below and don’t forget to keep sending them in – it is great to see you active!
The children have continued to impress us with their artistic talents. This week, we wanted a little time away from the screen and opted to draw something from nature. The children were encourage to go for a walk, look outside their window or find an element of nature which inspired them. We had lots of lovely sketches and some pretty creative ideas too! Well done.
In Science this week the children found out how some of their favourite animals are adapted to survive in their environments. We had some very informative and well-researched presentations!
The children were also given the task of designing their own animal that would be adapted to survive in an imaginary environment. We had some very creative designs that showed careful consideration of the characteristics that their animals would need in order to survive.
Finally, in English, after reading the poem Snow Leopard by Philip Gross, the children created their own adverts to persuade people to help save these endangered animals. I am so impressed with the effort that went into this work! Warning: reading and listening to these adverts may make you want to donate your money!
Well done to everyone for a wonderful week of home learning. Particular well done to Gracie, Isaac, Olivia, Arthur and Esha who were all given special mention in today’s assembly.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
