Reading Comprehension – The first set of Reading Comprehension homework was completed to a very high standard. Thank you for taking time to go through the answers with your children. There was a very common error on one of the first questions: which countries were the grandparents from? Many children answered with the names of the cities rather than the countries. Please remind children to read the questions carefully.
The next Reading Comprehension homework has been sent home. It is due by Tuesday 10th October.
Learning Log – We would like the children to find out about the recent earthquake in Mexico. They should focus on the vocabulary linked to earthquakes, how it happened and why there was so much damage. We suggest that they do some research right away while there is still a lot of information in the news. Learning Logs are due on Wednesday 4th October.
Bikeability continues this week. Children should come dressed in PE kit and bring a change of uniform if it is forecast to be wet.
Star Wars Day is on Friday 6th October. Children may come to school in a costume if they wish. Light sabres are permitted but must be kept under control.
